Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Freight Broker to join our team. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing transportation sales and ensuring efficient supply chain management. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong account management skills and a passion for the logistics industry.


Duties:

• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, shippers, and customers
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with carriers to secure the best rates
• Coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery
• Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and manage logistics processes
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
• Stay uptodate with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize supply chain operations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of transportation sales and account management
• Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and AS400 software
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
• Understanding of FDA regulations for transporting regulated goods is a plus
• Experience working with 3PL (thirdparty logistics) providers is preferred
