    Description

    Job Summary:

    The Project Manager manages small, medium and large client-facing projects from start to finish, leveraging the standard PMO project management process. Projects may span across various Converge service lines including Cybersecurity, IT Infrastructure / Workplace, Analytics, Cloud Platforms and Artificial Intelligence. Our goal is to provide operational excellence as we complete projects on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the stakeholders. This role is geared toward candidates with associate - mid level experience. Converge is experiencing tremendous growth and we can't wait for you to join our team

    Essential Functions:

    • Become proficient with all systems, tools and templates provided by the PMO.
    • Review Statements of Work (SOW) and complete initial planning activities.
    • Work with resource managers to assign project resources.
    • Conduct internal and external project kick off calls with slide deck.
    • Conduct internal and external status meetings regularly and send project status reports.
    • Prerequisite and product (where applicable) tracking.
    • Create and maintain the project plan.
    • Approve project timesheets and invoices.
    • Consistently complete weekly update of PSA tool project status, status notes, start/end dates.
    • Update and maintain project technical resource schedules/bookings in the PSA tool.
    • Attend project review meetings to discuss/provide updates to management on projects in progress.
    • Conduct project close out meetings.
    • Consistently achieve project management utilization targets.
    • Lead project meetings and engage the appropriate team members in the conversation to maximize efficiency and value of the meeting.
    • Foster and emphasize teamwork amongst all project team members.
    • Take ownership and accountability for the project's success and acts to mitigate and/or eliminate risks through good communication, planning, and escalation as needed.

    Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies

    • Ethical and Critical Thinking.
    • Ability to adhere to and leverage best practices as defined by the PMO and/or well recognized project management frameworks such as PMBoK.
    • Strong understanding of the different project types and methodologies, knowing when to use each.
    • Basic understanding in the areas of Cloud, IT Infrastructure, Analytics, Cybersecurity, etc
    • Good understanding of common technical terminology and implementation methods for the aligned technology practice area.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times, stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Experience:

    • 2+ years of related experience as a project coordinator / manager is required.
    • Background working in technology project management is preferred.
    • Background working within a professional services / technology consulting environment is preferred.

    Work Environment:

    • Remote, work from home with the United States
