    Description

    PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

    The Interface Analyst is focused on integrating our hospital systems using the HL7 standard interfaces for ADT, order, result, charge, transcription and ERP batch interfaces. The position is responsible for implementation, ongoing support and changes required to these interfaces.

    JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    Duty 1: Maintain and update documentation and knowledge base articles for job duties and responsibilities

    Duty 2: Interface with end users to resolve problems, determine best methods of solving issues, troubleshoot problems, etc.

    Duty 3: Prepare for and participate in meetings with supervisors and other to provide status updates, describe upcoming requirements, outline areas of deficiencies, etc.

    Duty 4: Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology, always on a look out for new technologies and work with management and development team in bringing new technologies to the organization. Including but not limited to participating in technology forums and industry user-groups

    Duty 5: Utilizes change management process for all system changes

    Duty 6: Manage and support interface engine or point to point interfaces for transporting data in and out of applications and medical devices.

    Duty 7: Design development and implementation for expansions and changes to the interface environment

    Duty 8: Participates in the technical testing and training for new or changing applications, including upgrades for the engine and systems flowing through the engine.

    Duty 9: Participates as a team resources on projects requiring interface assistance.

    Duty 10: Participate in the strategic planning and design to ensure proper consideration for future growth or automation projects.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Experience doing custom TCL coding
    • 7 to 10 years' experience setting up interfaces along with testing those interfaces
    • Working knowledge of Hospital information systems and information technology integration workflow
    • Must have solid working knowledge of the controls, syntax and message structure of ANSI Standard Health Level Seven (HL7)
    • Proven prior experience managing multiple projects ranging in duration from several weeks to several months
    • Proven independent work style w/ need of little direct supervision
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Primary communications with customers will be via phone and email
    • Ability to express clear project status and engage in meaningful conversation and/or troubleshooting dialog
    • A valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver's license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle.
    • Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with Meditech and Cerner and Level II Quvadox Cloverleaf certification desired

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
