Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed project estimates using estimating software and onscreen takeoff on projects ranging in size from $50,000 to $5,000,000 inclusive of all material, labor, equipment and subcontractors.
• Identify qualified subcontractors and vendors by specifying scope and materials; obtain quotes.
• Attend prebid meetings and walkthroughs at customer sites.
• Maintain good business relationships with owners, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, vendors, and company colleagues.
• Turnover estimates to project management team and consult with them as needed.
• Assist in maintaining and analyzing historical bid data.
• Make recommendations to drive alternative project scope solutions.
• Related duties as requested.

Requirements:

• High school diploma with a twoyear or fouryear college degree
• Two to five years' experience with computerized construction estimating but will consider a recent college graduate with an engineering or constructionrelated degree
• Computer proficiency and MS Office experience, including Outlook, Excel and Word
• Good reasoning ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, schedule or diagram form
• Must be able to read and understand project specs and drawings
• Organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Math proficiency, high degree of accuracy and fine attention to detail
• Ability to communicate well verbally and in writing as well as interact professionally with clients and coworkers
• Must possess a team player attitude
