Position summary:
The dental assistant is responsible for preparing patients for exams and treatment by the dental team.


Essential responsibilities include:

• Assist dentist in performing services by preparing patients in chair and handling instruments, equipment, and dental plastics, assist with xrays and provide postoperative and oral hygiene instructions as prescribed by dentist.
• Sterilize instruments and keep the office stocked with required supplies.
• Arrange and maintain appointment schedule.
• Keep records of patients, act as office receptionist.
• Provide positive, quality customer service to students, staff, and other center customers.

Education and experience requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A valid dental assistant certification
• Certified to take xrays.
• A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record
