    Job Description

    Plans, directs, and coordinates warehouse and distribution activities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations.

    General Accountabilities

    Prepares and manages departmental budget.

    Supervises the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.

    Interviews, selects, and trains warehouse and supervisory personnel.

    Plans, develops, or implements warehouse safety and security programs and activities.

    Prepares or directs preparation of correspondence, reports, and operations, maintenance, and safety manuals.

    Issues shipping instructions and provides routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.

    Confers with department heads to coordinate warehouse activities, such as production, sales, records control, or purchasing.

    Reviews invoices, work orders, consumption reports, or demand forecasts to estimate peak delivery periods and to issue work assignments.

    Inspects physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.

    Schedules or monitors air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials.

    Responds to customers' or shippers' questions and complaints regarding storage and distribution services.

    Develops and documents standard and emergency operating procedures for receiving, handling, storing, shipping, or salvaging products or materials.

    Develops or implements plans for facility modification or expansion, such as equipment purchase or changes in space allocation or structural design.

    Tracks and traces goods while they are enroute to their destinations, expediting orders when necessary.

    Job Qualifications

    Education: Bachelor's degree

    Experience: 3-5 years of experience as warehouse or logistics manager
