    • PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a UAS, UAV, RPV, or DRONE pilot position.

    We are in search of an experienced, Full-time, Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) Supervisor to join the SAIC Controller Training Solutions (CTS) team at the Albuquerque ARTCC (ZAB) in Albuquerque, NM, supporting air traffic controller training services for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

    Job Description:

    The RPO Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing the activities of CTS personnel providing RPO support. They are in charge of managing RPO schedules, supervising daily operations within their area of responsibility, and ensuring precise and prompt completion of RPO time cards.

    The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) ensures air traffic control specialists offer the flying public a high level of safety and professionalism. A knowledgeable Air Traffic Control (ATC) team plays a critical role in fulfilling this obligation. The FAA has over 14,000 air traffic controllers working in air traffic facilities of various sizes, safely managing over 50,000 aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS) every day. To deliver these air traffic services, the FAA trains new air traffic control specialists and provides ongoing training to current controllers. The FAA partners with contractors to deliver training services at FAA ATC facilities nationwide to fulfill these training requirements. SAIC is responsible for providing training and related support services for all types and levels of ATC facilities.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    Applicants must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. Candidates should hold a high school diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Remote Pilot Operator (RPO). Additionally, candidates must show basic computer skills, the ability to read and interpret materials like diagrams and manuals, and possess clear communication abilities.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Candidates with previous experience as an RPO at Albuquerque ARTCC (ZAB) will be given preference.
    • The capability to effectively interact with FAA personnel at all levels to ensure training services meet facility needs and the FAA's ATC mission is highly valued.
    • Experience in either the Terminal radar lab or En Route lab.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
    • Basic knowledge of current technological tools (tablets, notebooks, applications, etc.).
    • Understanding of FAA e-LMS.
    • Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

    Certifications:

    The RPO Supervisor should hold certifications equivalent to those required for an RPO. SAIC welcomes applications continuously without a specific deadline.
