Branch Warehouse Associate - Houston, United States - Carrier Enterprise
Description
Greet and assist customers at the counter with product inquiries, orders, and returns.- Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers.
- Answer phone inquiries and address customer needs promptly and professionally.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the company's computerized systems.
- Prepare invoices, quotes, and purchase orders.
- Upsell and crosssell products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Rotate stock to ensure the firstin, firstout (FIFO) principle is followed.
- Assist in replenishing stock and reordering inventory items as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare shipments for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
- Stay uptodate on product offerings, industry trends, and HVAC system components.
- Attend training sessions and product seminars to enhance product knowledge.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Assist colleagues during peak periods or when additional support is required.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience operating forklifts; Certification is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
- HVACrelated coursework or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Proficiency in computerized inventory and pointofsale systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Valid driver's license may be required.
