    Description
    Job Type Full-timeDescriptionWe are currently expanding our team and are looking for a Sr. Equipment Engineer. At CORMETECH our Engineers and Scientists have a passion for innovation to meet our clients' needs.

    Your primary role will be to manage projects for the design and specification of manufacturing and processing equipment, installation, and start-up of new plant equipment.

    You will also be responsible for providing guidance, support for the design, making improvements, and modifications of existing plant equipment.

    What You Will Be Doing:


    Manage equipment projects from initiation to closeWork with engineers to develop designs and/or specifications for new equipment at the pilot and production scale.

    Determine facilities requirements for new equipment and either align with current or determine modifications / additionsWrite detailed scope of work for project quotation phaseCreate goals, deliverables, budget and timingPrepare Appropriation Requests and justification for capital purchasesSupport capital planning for capacity expansions through capacity analysis and cost estimation.

    Effectively manage project scope and changesCommunicate project milestones to team membersEnsure equipment receivers are fully informed and involvedEnsure Maintenance practices meet requirementsProvide supervision of trades and/or outside contractors on project and equipment related tasksReview and update documentation and drawings to "as built" statusResearch and recommend the purchase of new equipment that offers increased production or improved yieldsSuggest modification of existing equipment to increase productivity and reliabilityAssist with troubleshooting problematic equipment and offer solutionsPursue equipment safety projectsLead / facilitate Process Hazards Analysis reviews of new equipment and implement suggestions that are agreed to by teamIdentify cost reduction opportunities via equipment modification and/or the introduction of new technologyPerform capacity analysis based on equipment throughput and recommend opportunities for improvementCollaborate with other departments to achieve goalsOther tasks as assigned.


    RequirementsWhat You Will Bring:
    BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentMinimum 5 years work experienceProficiency in Solidworks.
    Experience managing projects for manufacturing line equipment, both new and existingExperience working on equipment upgrades and new equipment.
    Experience developing equipment specifications.
    Experience generating and managing capital equipment budgets.
    General knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and PLCsExperience analyzing capacity of new and existing equipment and processes.
    Computer skills in Microsoft windows-based applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
    Experience using MS Project or equivalent.
    Team oriented individual with good communication skills.
    Demonstrated personal responsibility and dependability.
