Job Summary and Qualifications:

As a Floor Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the floors of the hospital by performing routine cleanings as scheduled.

You will also perform a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep the hospital neat, orderly, and sanitary.

You will maintain the floors in patient rooms, public areas, bathrooms, and offices
You will set up, operate, and maintain all floor care equipment
You will maintain hard surface floors on a daily basis by mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing and refinishing
You will pick up and transport all waste materials including linens, trash bags, and medical waste
You will move equipment and furniture throughout the facility and perform room setups as requested
You will be a supportive and positive hospital team member
You will communicate with hospital team members and supervisors regularly and effectively

Job Requirements

Experience

1 year of previous floor care experience strongly preferred

Education

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
