    Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Yakima, Washington

    Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the school year in Yakima, Washington. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in providing prehensive speech and language services to students with diverse needs, empowering them to municate effectively and achieve academic success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative and supportive environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of students.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct prehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, munication, and swallowing disorders.
    2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' munication goals and objectives.
    3. Provide direct intervention services to students through individual or group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices.
    4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic and social-emotional development.
    5. Monitor students' progress, adjust intervention strategies as needed, and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
    6. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise to develop appropriate goals and acmodations for students with munication disorders.
    7. Provide consultation and training to teachers and support staff on strategies for supporting students with munication needs in the classroom.
    8. Stay informed about current research, best practices, and legislative requirements related to speech-language pathology services in educational settings.
    9. Advocate for students' munication needs and collaborate with munity resources to ensure continuity of care beyond the school setting.
    10. Maintain professional petence through ongoing professional development activities and pursue opportunities for specialization or certification in specific areas of speech-language pathology.

    Qualifications:

    1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
    2. Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or eligibility for certification.
    3. Valid Washington state license or ability to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
    4. Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
    5. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families.
    6. Excellent written and verbal munication skills.
    7. Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and assistive technology monly used in speech-language pathology.
    8. mitment to cultural petence and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
    9. Reliable transportation to travel between school sites within the Yakima area, if necessary.
