THE OPPORTUNITY (POSITION OVERVIEW)**Reporting to the School Director the Care Team-Play support position is committed to providing a safe and orderly outdoor environment for learners. The Care Team-Play support is responsible for monitoring the playground when children are present during lunch and recess and ensuring that the School's health and safety rules are followed. The Care Team - Play Support is to have positive interactions with the children and support in providing a safe and fun outdoor environment.


WHAT YOU WILL DO (DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES)**Supervise and monitor learners at lunchtime and recess time. Ensure that school's health and safety rules are followed. Connect, interact and encourage appropriate play, positive interactions and behaviors. Assist learners in resolving minor conflicts on the playground. Be nurturing, yet firm, and committed to ensuring the learners' health and safety on the playground. Be aware of playground rules and regulations and implement appropriate school discipline policy when necessary in accordance with the Facilitator. Report and complete any paperwork of any accidents or incidents. Report unsafe playground conditions, including equipment immediately.- Serve as a source of information and support to Facilitators or Education Specialists.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Communicating with others to exchange information. (In Person/Telephone/Computer) Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing. Adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions. When needed to support a school or education program, must have the ability to travel by public transit as well as operate a vehicle for self-transportation purposes between worksites. Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned. May encounter outdoor elements: high (>90)/low (<60) temperatures, precipitation and/or wind. Ability to work in situations involving the need to make informed and quick decisions. Ability to supervise/manage workers and delegate as needed in project management situations. Reading detailed documentation and analyzing data sets. Writing professionally, both by hand and utilizing computer software. Speaking in public settings including making public presentations to large and small groups. Dealing and navigating professionally through high-stress situations.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING (QUALIFICATIONS)**- High School diploma or equivalent is required.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Exceptional public speaking skills. High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.- Thrive in a collaborative,
