Description
The Financial Analyst will utilize multiple programs and data sources to harvest data and produce reports.

This position will analyze, interpret, and report data in order to provide insight and recommendations to improve metrics, reporting, and processes for departments and the organization.

This position will assist in fulfilling the mission of the credit union and will maintain a strong member service chain in order to create and maintain loyalty with both internal/external members and vendors.

As a member of the support team, the Financial Analyst will:

  • Be focused on accuracy in all areas of the role.
  • Ensure clear and focused communication both internally and externally.
  • Identify ways to improves processes and increase efficiency.
  • Offer help and suggestions that will build internal and external loyalty.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


  • Consistently provide outstanding service focusing on member service and member loyalty skills.
  • Responsible for ad hoc financial and data analysis, models, and reports as needed, included "what if" analyses and cost benefit analyses for new products and projects.
  • Responsible for monthly Board, ALCO, and investment reporting.
  • Maintain Asset Liability Model and/or facilitate data reporting with third parties that handle outsourced ALM models.
  • Understand results from income simulations/GAP analysis (e.g. interest rate shocks, etc.).
  • Monitor and plan liquidity and cash flow.
  • Develop and maintain department and product dashboards and recurring reports.
  • Own internal and external member problems, issues, and complaints, and ensure the appropriate follow up to achieve proper resolution.

  • Starting salary is $54,080 per year.

Experience
One year to three years of similar or related experience


Education
(1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g. information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).


Interpersonal Skills

Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.

Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.


Other Skills
Four-year degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
