As an Office Secretary at Virginia Auction Company, Inc., you will serve as the backbone of our office, supporting our team with a variety of tasks that are essential to our daily operations.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Running Errands:
  • Efficiently and accurately handling various errands such as picking up and delivering documents, packages, and supplies.
  • Coordinating and organizing tasks outside and inside the office to ensure timely completion.
  • File Creation and Management:
  • Creating and maintaining both physical and digital filing systems to organize documents, records, and reports.
  • Scanning, indexing, and archiving documents for easy retrieval.

Office Secretarial Duties:


  • Greeting and directing visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answering and directing phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate parties.
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies, ensuring that the office is wellstocked and organized.
  • Assisting in scheduling appointments, meetings, and managing the office calendar.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional secretarial or administrative certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Proven experience in a similar secretarial or administrative role.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills with great attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and fax machines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Reliable transportation for running errands as required.

$ $30.00 per hour
