We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of
IT Digital Experience at our
Deer Park Caustic plant located in
Deer Park, Texas.



  • Providing primary inperson / remote support to staff in resolving incidents, fulfilling requests, and implementing approved changes for IT services at the local OxyChem plants and administrative sites (Deer Park / La Porte / Pasadena). This includes daily onsite core work hours and occasional after hours and weekend support and travel between sites using company vehicles.
  • Providing secondary support for other US & Canada OxyChem manufacturing sites and headquarters (Dallas) with potential for travel up to one work week at a time, 24 times annually, to provide backup onsite support and assist with new staff setup.
  • Core desktop support duties include but are not limited to imaging and setting up user laptops/desktop machines, performing software installation, monitors and peripherals installation, IT equipment relocation, managing asset inventory, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows operating system and Office product issues, desktop phone support, Oxy mobile app installation support.
  • Adherence to all Oxy safety standards and complete all inperson and online required staff training as assigned by management and human resources.
  • Ensure protection and secure storage of the IT environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.
  • Ensure all incidents, requests and changes are entered and managed in the ServiceNow ticketing system and work with outsourced service desk staff as appropriate for service needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; climb ladders and stairs; walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to work in confined spaces as needed and the ability to crawl under furniture to make computer connections.

Required Qualifications:


  • 4year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an IT discipline with min 2 years professional IT experience or 5 years of professional IT experience w/o degree required.
  • Experienced / knowledgeable in:
  • Computer imaging process, networking hardware and cabling fundamentals, and telecommunications
  • Installing printer, peripheral and option cards hardware.
  • IT asset inventorying and user desktop setup best practices
  • Service and teamoriented mindset to work with IT colleagues to provide positive, quality experiences to valued business users and ability to handle ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at all levels of a major corporation.
  • Excellent prioritization, organization, decisionmaking and timemanagement skills.
  • Motivated to work independently and effectively with mínimal supervision and with onsite and remote colleagues to collaborate on workload balancing and execution.
  • Ability to work overtime/weekends as required and be on call to respond to offhours business requests.
  • Must have a class C driver's license to operate company vehicles for travel to other Oxy locations.
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment including the use of an escape respirator and be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Desired Qualification:


  • Microsoft certified (or certifications pending) and/or experience support setting up related communication devices preferred.
- iOS experience and/or Networking programming experience a plus
