Job Overview:
Under the direction of the Dietary Department manager, the Diet Assistant is responsible for the diet office s clerical duties related to maintaining menu systems and food services to patients.
Qualifications:
- Required:_
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Preferred:_
- Prior work experience in a hospitality environment
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift: Day:
- Days to work: 5 Days p/week
- Full Time (37.5hrs.)
Essential Functions:
- Perform checks on tray line during meal service as needed.
- Collect patient menu selections using BME
- Distribute and tally paper menus if needed.
- Follow assigned workflow to ensure adequate time for menu collection and diet office coverage.
- Maintain computerized system with the current information, as needed.
- Modify therapeutic menus as needed.
- Participate in Quality Improvement collection and reporting as assigned.
- Prepare food production sheets based on menu tallies as required.
- Process diet orders and diet changes using the WFMS computer system.
- Update nourishment, monitor all snack and supplement orders.
