Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Program Director to oversee a diverse array of programs. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the successful execution and overall achievement of each program. Additionally, you will be tasked with supervising managers and providing management with updates on progress and performance.
To excel in this role, a successful Program Director must possess a comprehensive understanding of program management principles. They must also possess a strategic mindset and possess the ability to effectively lead and cultivate their subordinates.
Ultimately, the objective is to guarantee the successful delivery of every program and maximize its contribution to the organization.
Responsibilities
Establish and define objectives for programs in alignment with the organization's strategic goals
Strategize and plan programs from initiation to completion, incorporating deadlines, milestones, and processes
Create or authorize budgets and operational plans for programs
Design evaluation strategies to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
Oversee program and project managers, providing feedback and resolving complex issues
Identify opportunities to optimize efficiency and productivity of processes and personnel
Implement change, risk, and resource management principles as necessary
Review reports prepared by managers to assess progress and address any concerns
Ensure program operations and activities comply with legal regulations and internal policies
Keep senior management well-informed through detailed and accurate reports or presentations
Requirements and skills
Demonstrated background as a program director or in a similar leadership role
Comprehensive grasp of project/program management methodologies and strategies
Profound understanding of performance assessment methods and essential metrics
Exceptional proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and financial planning
Proficient in MS Office and program management tools
Strong business acumen coupled with strategic thinking
Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities
BSc/BA diploma in management or a relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
