Location: This position will be based in Canoga Park, CA.

Responsibilities:

Generates invoices (both sale order invoice and final invoice)
Responds to customer inquiries and requests in relation to their invoices
Opens and receives customer payments. Posts to customer open invoices/sales receipts in QuickBooks
Assists in the processing of credit card payments
Follow established procedures for processing receipts, cash etc.
Assist in preparing daily deposit
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries
Assist in generating age analysis
Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
Research and resolve payment discrepancies
Assist in preparing Collection Report
Assists in maintaining accounts receivable customer files and records
Assists in maintaining Accounts Receivables open and paid files. Coordinates year-end file archiving
Balance sheet account reconciliations
Sales tax returns
Revenue recognition analysis
Progress billing
Cash application
Ensures the security, integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information
Assist with month-end and year-end closing
Back up assistance with permit checks entry into Excel
Back up assistance with front desk functions: answering phones, mailings
Participates as needed in special department projects or tasks

Job Requirements:

Basic Accounting knowledge
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in QuickBooks 17.0
