    Datadog is strengthening the Americas compliance team by seeking an Accommodation and Compliance Specialist to support the growing region. You will serve as a subject-matter expert on workplace accommodations and will be responsible for the successful day-to-day support and management of all job accommodation programs including ADA and Title VII for the Americas (currently US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and Paraguay). You will make recommendations in accordance with applicable laws, lead the interactive process under the ADA, and make recommendations to HR and management regarding accommodations. You will work closely with process owners and stakeholders, such as People Business Partners, Managers, Legal, Audit, Benefits, Payroll, and HRIS, to name a few.

    What You'll Do:

    • Process and track all workplace accommodation requests, providing timely notification/response in accordance with applicable state, local and federal laws and regulations, as well as company policy. Effectively interpret ADA and Title VII implications and escalate to management where necessary.
    • Educate employees, People Business Partners, and managers about workplace accommodation programs by answering questions, developing and maintaining communication materials, designing employee workshops, and updating the company intranet as needed.
    • Research best practices and develop recommendations for implementing new or enhancing existing workplace accommodation programs. Develop and streamline processes for efficiency while ensuring positive employee and manager experience, consistency, and compliance.
    • Maintain working knowledge of all regulatory and legal standards and apply concepts appropriately. Understand and ensure compliance with ADA, PWFA, PDA, HIPAA privacy laws, other US state and local accommodation laws and regulations, as well as accommodation requirements throughout the region (Canada, Mexico, etc.)
    • Partner on Americas Compliance projects or other People team projects as needed including I-9 compliance, affirmative action planning, government reporting, contracts and other employment agreements, entity creation and handbook or policy updates.
    Who You Are:
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
    • 5+ years of total experience working in compliance, HR, or related field
    • At least 2-3 years of workplace accommodations experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources benefits-related areas and expertise related to leave and accommodation management.
    • Experience with creating and delivering training on accommodation or compliance topics to internal stakeholders, including management
    • Experience with drafting company policies and procedures on workplace accommodation processes or other compliance processes
    • A master in your project management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to design clear processes, and a very detail-oriented yet flexible approach to problem solving
    • Strong working knowledge of, and experience with, ADA/ADAAA, Title VII, PWFA, PDA, and similar US state and local laws and regulations
    • Experience and understanding of US HR compliance requirements and processes
    • Experience building and administering accommodation processes and procedures, accommodation tracking and compliance
    • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to successfully implement and maintain accommodation programs.

Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
