    Description

    Immediate Direct Hire opportunity for a Buyer Planner in Connecticut

    *Must be a US Citizen or Green card holder*

    Details:

    Shift: 1st Shift

    Location: Thomaston, Connecticut

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain
    • 0-2 years' experience in a high volume, repetitive manufacturing organization mind as a planner/buyer.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a Team environment.
    • Time management and organizational skills are essential.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, SAP, etc.
    • SAP planning experience and/or APICS certification is a plus.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and distribute production schedules for product lines, coordinating with Operations for seamless execution.
    • Manage MRP component build schedules to optimize manufacturing uptime and improve vendor reliability for Dispensing manufacturing.
    • Communicate with personnel on parts supply aspects, including delivery status, production schedules, lead times, revisions, and OTIF calculations.
    • Serve as the primary contact for placing orders and maintaining relationships with manufacturing subcontractors and designated vendors.
    • Collaborate with customer service, sales, and manufacturing teams to analyze and utilize customer forecasts, maximizing production capacities.
    • Oversee schedules and adjust capacities to meet service level targets while maintaining inventory objectives.
    • Ensure inventory accuracy across all company disciplines.
    • Support the development and integration of new SAP solutions.
    • Gather and disseminate planning data to enhance manufacturing performance.
