Christie Clinic's department of Physical Therapy is seeking a part-time(10 hours/week and non-benefit eligible) Physical Therapy Technician at the Medical Hills clinic in Bloomington.

The hours for this position are varied from Monday-Friday.

Duties include assisting in the delivery of treatment and procedures carried out in the Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine Clinic. Experience in a Physical Therapy or related department is preferred but not required.


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 40 pounds.

Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.


TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:


Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Requirements may include working irregular hours.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Perform selected duties under the supervision of the Physical Therapist including performing ultrasounds, assisting with electric stim, assisting with mechanical traction, and exercise completion.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatment. Provide patients with general needs such as water, ice, most hot pack, etc.
  • Clean and straighten the Physical Therapy department. Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization, stocking of linens and supplies, etc.
  • Assist the receptionist with duties including check in, answering phones, scheduling, problem solving, etc.
  • Perform related work as required.

Experience:
Preferred

  • Experience in Physical Therapy or a related department

Education:
Required

  • High School or better
