For this role you must have:

  • Minimum 7 years of HR Generalist experience that includes performance management, compensation planning, training and development, creating and updating policies and procedures, employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, HR data management and reports.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation
  • Undergraduate degree

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deliver a strong Mobiz talent experience in the manner in which we attract, engage and grow our team members
  • Build and maintain strong, advisory relationships with the business
  • Advise leaders on all talent related matters including onboarding, engagement, performance, workforce planning, compensation and total rewards, organizational structure, development, policies and procedures, employee relations, offboarding and others as required
  • Collaborate within the HR Team to lead change processes to transform and deliver the Mobiz Talent Experience
  • Initiate, deliver, administer and or enforce HR programs, processes, policies, and relevant programs that ensure compliance with employment legislation, policy, and procedures
  • Research and investigate employee relations issues as appropriate
  • Provide advice on employee terminations
  • Review exit interview documentation to identify organizational issues and advance recommendations for remedial action.
  • With the assistance of Corporate Communications, develop and calendarize employee communications and identify issues as required for outofperiod communications
  • Monitor recruiting efforts, inhouse or outsourced, to ensure adequate inflow of quality applicants, appropriate screening (including reference checks and field interviews), proper hiring practices and documentation and introduction to the organization.
  • Initiate and deliver internal training programs as required
  • Help to execute talent management and succession planning programs instituted throughout the organization
  • Contribute to compensation program development through salary assessments and benchmarking and model d data and salary recommendations are available, and that compensation is consistent with company compensation model.
  • Effectively support the formal performance and compensation review process that appropriately rewards top performers, encourages improvement of underperformers, and meets the company's annual compensation budget

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in wellrounded HR Generalist role is required.
  • Postsecondary diploma or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • CPHR is preferred
  • Experience in a fastgrowing startup preferred (ideally in the tech/IT industry)
  • Prior experience with an HRIS, preferably BambooHR, and an ATS is required.
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards and Privacy legislation is required
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Advanced communication, writing and comprehension skills are essential.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage effectively and respond quickly to change in a fast paced, dynamic, deadline driven environment.
