Duties:


  • You will serve as MANAGEMENT and PROGRAM ASSISTANT in the MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL DIRECTORATE, COMNAVSURFLANT, NORFOLK, VIRGINIA.
  • You will perform routine and nonroutine assignments, which support the functions of the Manpower and Personnel Department (N11).
  • You will independently review, evaluate, and recommend improvements in the efficiency of internal administrative processes, organizations, or management functions.
  • You will serve as the primary command timekeeper and Standard Labor Data Collection and Distribution Application (SLDCADA) Administrator.
  • You will track all career ladder and special hiring authority employees to ensure proper accounting and tracking of staff.
  • You will assist with developing, analyzing and improving the effectiveness of the Civilian Personnel Program
  • You will initiate, monitor and track all requests for personnel actions (RPAs) for the command
  • You will coordinate with managers on various administrative personnel related programs such as incentive awards, performance evaluations and career management programs
  • You will maintain required document files, employee inquiries, analyzing and resolution of complicated payroll problems/issues
  • You will prepare, analyze, and manage reports utilizing the Total Workforce Management Services System (TWMS) and HR Link system

Qualifications:


  • Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector:
  • Experience managing civilian personnel actions such as time keeping, leave regulations, recruitment, performance, and awards
  • Experience establishing, organizing, and managing files, providing customer service, and providing explanations of organizational policies
  • Experience utilizing a variety of software programs to accomplish assignments
