    ABOUT THE POSITIONColumbia Sportswear's dynamic global Supply Chain consists of 4 distribution centers, 430 retail stores, 80 apparel factories and 20 footwear factories worldwide and a diverse raw materials source base to support our consumer needs.

    As a Limited Mainteance Electrician in Columbia Sportswear's Distribution center you will be responsible for maintenance of all equipment and facilities at distribution center, with an emphasis on the conveyor and sorter systems.

    This includes but not limited to motor swap out, ballast change and component replacement.

    This position is not only responsible for electrical equipment, but also for multiple other types of equipment's repair or preventative maintenance assignments in the building.

    HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE Perform routine and preventive maintenance for all warehouse and office equipment to ensure proper operating conditions.

    Equipment includes conveyors, racking, lighting, security, forklifts, material handling equipment, fire protection and plumbing systems.
    Maintain, repair and replace electrical installations for facility per LME (licensed maintenance electrician) guidelines. Maintain logs of all preventive and breakdown maintenance performed on conveyors, forklifts, and fire protection systems.
    Perform light janitorial duties and other duties as assigned.
    Complete tasks assigned by Maintenance Supervisor/Manager.

    YOU AREAble to deal with ambiguity and work in an evolving business environmentCapable of collaborating well with individuals from at various levels in the organizationComfortable to deal with work and time pressures to accomplish job requirements in an efficient and effective mannerYOU HAVERequires valid LME (licensed maintenance electrician) certification.

    Possess good working knowledge of practices regarding hazard communication, chemical usage, material safety data sheets, lock out/tag out, emergency evacuation procedures and emergency generation procedures.

    Possess intermediate computer skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English.

    Physical ability to climb stairs and ladders, climb stairs and use ladders, sit and stand for extended periods of time, and regularly lift/carry up to 40 pounds.

    Ability to use a variety of hand and powered tools and possess an aptitude for mechanics.
