    Description

    Service Coordinator

    (6 month contract-to-hire)

    $24-25 an hour pay

    Role Overview:

    • Collaborates with Customers and Field Service Mechanics to identify maintenance needs.
    • Coordinates field technicians' assignments to client sites.
    • Provides guidance to customers on necessary services.
    • Calculates costs of parts and labor needed to refurbish lift trucks to customer specifications.
    • Estimates expenses for repairs and replacements, detailing them on service orders for customer review.
    • Manages parts and services sales orders through computerized invoicing processes.
    • Ensures accurate filing of paperwork related to each lift truck's service history.
    • Handles warranty claims and sees them through to resolution.
    • Responds to inquiries via phone, prepares written communications, reports, and service quotes.
    • Maintains databases (MS Excel/MS Dynamics) and contact lists for the Service Center.
    • Manages records of all company vehicles, including drivers, insurance, maintenance, and more.
    • Issues repair quotes to clients and initiates necessary service orders.
    • Handles invoicing tasks, including some responsibilities in accounts receivable and payable.
    • Processes client payments over the phone.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Prior experience in customer-oriented roles is a plus.
    • Background in coordination within dealership settings, particularly with service and parts divisions.
    • Mechanical knowledge or relevant experience in forklifts, heavy machinery, or similar areas.
    • Ability to prioritize service tasks effectively.
    • Professional and confident demeanor in customer interactions.
    • Valid driver's license is required.
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and other computer tools.
    • Strong multitasking and organizational capabilities.
    • Team player who thrives under pressure.
