Summary


A Life Science Technical Specialist performs and documents planned maintenance and repair of research and clinical laboratory equipment (centrifuges, incubators, freezers, chromatography instruments, etc.) and associated systems with mínimal supervision from service management to perform the required duties.

The Specialist must demonstrate a working knowledge of, and ability to use the required test equipment, and have the electronic and mechanical knowledge and skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively utilize service manuals, schematics and other applicable service information, required to perform and document planned maintenance and repair of the specialty equipment and systems, as assigned, in accordance with established company procedures.

The Specialist must demonstrate good organizational skills as well as good communications, interpersonal and customer relations skills as applied to interactions with company personnel and Client staff in accordance with established
RENOVO operational and personnel policies and procedures.


Specific Responsibilities:


  • Independently performs general troubleshooting and repairs to the component level. Also, independently perform installations, calibrations, qualifications, and planned maintenance with mínimal technical direction.
  • Proper use and maintenance of all standard test equipment
  • Be able to read, analyze, interpret and follow signal flow on blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Exercise good system troubleshooting skills.
  • Maintain parts stock and on demand orders for PM / Repairs
  • Perform manufacturermandated equipment modifications and satisfactorily complete the required paperwork.
  • Be able to perform all system service diagnostics on applicable products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.**
    Administration:
  • Administer assigned work orders in CMMS system (
    RENOVOLive)
  • Understand and observe company policies and accounting procedures.
  • Maintain service records and ensure inventory is accurate
  • Process travel and other expenses accurately while following company policy

Relationships:


  • Specialist will be customer oriented
  • An Advocate for
    RENOVO Solutions at customer site
  • Provide communication between the customer and company
  • Coordinate problem resolution with necessary contacts at company and customer

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:


  • High School Diploma, A.S. and/or B.S. Degree in Chemistry/Sciences or Biomedical or Electronics Technology or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the service and maintenance of research, laboratory, or medical equipment
  • Effective communication skills and ability to establish good customer rapport are essential
  • Ability to work independently within the customer location

  • Must maintain an active driver's license in the state of operation.
