    Description

    VP Credit Risk – Asset Backed Lending

    We are partnered with an exclusive investment advisor to bring on an essential hire on their Credit Risk team. The firm has experienced exceptional growth, successfully capitalizing on their investments through continually developing best in class strategies.

    The VP of Credit Risk will join an elite team responsible for due diligence, structuring, and underwriting new clients as well as ongoing portfolio management across the firms' strategic lines, specifically focused on warehouse facilities in ABL. Spearheading risk management throughout the organization, this group is of the utmost importance to their continued success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Partner closely with investment team to evaluate new investment opportunities, perform due diligence, underwrite, and structure lines of credit
    • Ongoing portfolio monitoring and relationship management of new and existing companies/clients
    • Drive comprehensive risk analysis through the development and implementation of risk appetites and analysis
    • Proactively identify and mitigate emerging risks across the investment portfolio through effective strategic decisioning

    Requirements:

    • Minimum bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) in a finance related field (business, finance, accounting, etc.)
    • 5+ years credit risk management within a complex financial institution
    • In depth knowledge of financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, borrowing base calculations, credit risk management, and corporate finance,
    • Deep understanding of structured credit, securitization, or asset-backed lending
    • Proficiency in Excel
