    Uplift Strength & Spirit is a fitness studio located in downtown Washington, DC. We specialize in teaching strength training in a welcoming space. Our focus is on working with people of all levels of experience to ensure precise form and progression. We prioritize mobility, alignment, and injury prevention to promote increased strength in a healthy and sustainable way. In addition, we emphasize the importance of nutrition and work with our clients to improve eating habits and address any nutritional deficiencies. At Uplift Strength & Spirit, we are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of our clients.

    Role Description

    This is a part-time on-site role for a Personal Trainer for Small Groups at Uplift Strength & Spirit. The Personal Trainer will be responsible for coaching semi-private strength training sessions, providing insight and feedback regarding their clients as pertains to programming, and delivering stellar customer service. They will work closely with clients to ensure proper form and technique, while adapting exercises to individual needs and abilities. The Personal Trainer will also play a key role in promoting a positive and motivating environment for clients to reach their fitness goals.

    Qualifications

    • Nutrition and fitness instruction skills
    • Experience in personal training and instructing how to use barbells
    • Knowledge of HIIT and calisthenics
    • Strong understanding of movement patterns and proper form
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to work with individuals of diverse fitness levels and backgrounds
    • Certification in Personal Training
    • Experience working in a fitness studio or gym setting
