    Description

    Overview:

    In Norman Regional Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), patients are treated for a wide range of critical conditions such as strokes, cardiac interventions, and post-operative heart surgery. You will work alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals focused on delivering high-quality care to patients and making a positive impact on their lives.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with fellow health professionals, assess and analyze data
    • Set goals, plan care strategies, establish care priorities, and implement them
    • Safely delegate tasks, provide direct and indirect nursing care, and evaluate responses to interventions
    • Perform extra nursing functions beyond basic preparation
    • Provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, catering to patients from adolescents to the elderly
    • Utilize Meditech EMR system, Mobilab, and bedside scanning technology

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
    • Experience: Previous healthcare experience is preferred, RN III eligibility requires two years of experience
    • Licensure/Certification: Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license or active Multistate RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are necessary
    • Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Completion of Critical Care RN classes, maintenance of critical care competencies, and participation in required training during employment
