- Minimum BS in Computer Science or Engineering
- Over 10 years' experience in commercial software development with object-oriented design methodology.
- More than 10 years' experience with Java, JavaScript and Python combined.
- At least 6 years' experience with RDBMS, RESTAPI, SQL, RestAssured, and Postman
- Minimum 4 years' experience with web application test automation frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, and/or Selenium.
- Knowledge/Experience of Cloud (Azure) is an advantage
- Proven technical experience as an automation engineer/software engineer across various applications and technology layers
- Collaborate with agile delivery teams, chapter leads, and QA team members to enhance test automation strategies
- Strong team player with a focus on efficient test strategies
- Experience in testing distributed applications using different automation frameworks
- Proficiency in Java or JavaScript, and familiarity with Cucumber/BDD
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles with Jenkins and Git, and the ability to advise on integrating test automation in pipelines
- Work within SDET teams to standardize automation processes and create reusable artifacts
- Adopt a continuous learning approach, embracing new technologies
- Excel in an Agile environment and value the concept of t-shaped squad members
- Developing test automation suites for healthcare administration systems
- Contributing to testing strategies for system conversions
- Exploring emerging technologies to tackle legacy test challenges
- Implementing test infrastructure for immediate business impact and future growth

The Team
The Fidelity Health Benefits Group supports the management of health benefits and life insurance plans for Fidelity's corporate clients, their employees, and retirees. The technology team interacts with business and system partners to enhance client-facing channels. This highly motivated team operates under Agile Methodology.
Fidelity Health is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Test for their technology team. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites to ensure product quality. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a track record of leading testing initiatives.
The team will work on crafting a test strategy and implementing technical solutions in quality engineering to support the development team in delivering internal tooling capabilities within Fidelity Health Benefits (FHB). The role involves establishing automation infrastructure, maintaining tests, and generating reusable test artifacts for streamlined processes. The position requires collaboration within scrum teams and the HCG FHB QA Chapter, with a focus on test automation, test data management, automation frameworks, predictive analytics, and CICD Integration.
