Description of Position:


Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:Provide administrative assistance to the Assistant Superintendent of Student Supports, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and preparing correspondence and reports.

Communication:Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external communications, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions.
-
Problem-Solving:Proactively identify and address challenges, demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient operations.
-
Family and Staff Engagement:Collaborate with families and school staff to address inquiries, resolve issues, and facilitate positive relationships within the school community.

Confidentiality:Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the role.

Technical Skills:

Possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace, PowerSchool, and ParentSquare as well as a willingness to learn new tools.

Office Management:Oversee the daily operations of the office, including managing supplies, equipment, and budgets to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.

Board of Education Interaction: Coordinate with the Board of Education on behalf of the Assistant Superintendent, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and facilitating communication as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an educational or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong problemsolving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.
