Our approach to driving systematic change is to address issues that negatively impact youth head-on, talking early and often about the importance of overcoming peer-pressure and breaking free from generational cycles of opportunity. We believe in an interdisciplinary approach to youth development, and so we work to address the root causes of the challenges facing our region's youth.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South is hiring for part time
Marketing Coordinator.

The part time
Marketing Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications (DOMC), will assist in implementing Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South's strategic marketing and communications plan to fuel the reach and awareness of our programs and resources.

This position will make considerable contributions to program marketing functions, including oversight of Clubhouse-related social media management, the creation of print and digital collateral, the production of monthly parent newsletters, and capturing content of programming in action.


Essential Functions:


  • Produce monthly parent enewsletters utilizing Daxko Engage to keep Club families and constituencies informed of current programs, services, policies, and resources.
  • Create promotional flyers utilizing Canva to support the marketing of upcoming sessions of programs and services to current and prospective Club families.
  • Content creation and scheduling for the organization's programrelated social media accounts (Clubhouse and Camp Riverside Facebook and Instagram pages).
  • Create targeted marketing ecampaigns (oneoff blasts, workflows, etc.) utilizing Daxko Engage to inform current and prospective families of Club programs, services, events, and other offerings under the guidance of the DOMC.
  • Be a regular presence in our Clubhouses and at Camp Riverside to capture photos and other content to support marketing and communications efforts.

Qualifications:


  • Associates degree preferred with at least 2 years of related experience or transferable skills.
  • Prior experience in a nonprofit marketing and/or development capacity is preferred.
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management experience.
  • Technological proficiency, including a command of the Microsoft Office Suite, the Google Suite, and familiarity with using a database to track and extract information.
  • An eye for graphic design and experience using Canva and/or Adobe InDesign.
  • Understanding of and deep appreciation for the mission, vision, and values of Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South and the respective roles of all stakeholder groups.
  • Strong communication skills are needed, including the ability to write compelling copy, and regularly collaborate with and extract important information from BGCMS program team members in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people and a track record of building and sustaining meaningful relationships with individuals from all social and economic backgrounds.
  • Ability to work within a highly collaborative, fastpaced team environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism including high expectations and standards of quality, a strong work ethic and personal code of ethics, accountability and dependability.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings to capture content of afterschool and specialty enrichment programming.
