Project Estimator - Houston, United States - Boles Construction & Property Management

Description

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers,and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
• Utilize construction estimating software such as Square Takeoff to create detailed estimates
• Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing for materials and services
• Review change orders and provide updated cost estimates
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
• Proven experience in construction estimating and project management
• Proficiency in construction estimating softwaresuch as Square Takeoff
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents
• Strong negotiation skills to obtain competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors

• Construction estimating: 1 year (preferred)
