IT Inventory Specialist


HomeSafe Alliance is the single global household goods movement manager of over 300,000 Military Household Goods moves per year for USTRANSCOM and the U.S.

Armed Forces, Department of Defense civilians, U.S. Coast Guard, and their families.

HomeSafe Alliance is seeking an experienced IT Inventory Specialist to join our team.

As an IT Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for maintaining IT inventory to include receiving and processing of incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

The IT Inventory Specialist will also be responsible for technical desktop support, Imaging, and initial configuration of company devices.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Stage, prepare, and deploy computer, peripherals, and devices to the users.
Experience with computer imaging and deployment processes.
Monitor, track, ship and receive assets to and from remote locations.
Monitor and fulfill hardware requests through ServiceNow (DASH)
Inspect, clean, secure wipe, and repurpose returned inventory.

Maintains an accurate inventory of deployed assets and inventory equipment by ensuring correct or updated serial numbers are entered in requests.

Ensure stock levels are adequate and continually monitor thresholds to align with business needs.
Coordinate warranty replacement items through OEM partners and third-party vendors.
Prepare and provide reports to management on a regular basis.

Zero Harm - maintain a safe, clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat, organized, and clear of hazards.

Assist with multi-function device deployments and decommissions.
Break/fix support for end user hardware, including but not limited to laptops, desktops, workstations, printers, and peripherals.
Occasionally perform installation of non-standard software.
Ability to successfully troubleshoot printing issues.
Facilitate data migration between computers.
Collaborate with vendors or third-party support to resolve technical issues.
Will be on-call once a month for after-hours customer service reps.
Assist other IT teams with duties as needed.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements


Skills required for this position are typically acquired through the completion of an high school diploma and 1-2 years of IT warehouse or asset management experience.

Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
Must be familiar with SCCM imaging.
Ability to successfully troubleshoot 2FA, DUO and other authentication issues.
Working knowledge with Dell hardware, ServiceNow & Microsoft Office
The ability to work independently within established guidelines.
Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50 lbs., occasionally to exceed 100 lbs.
High knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, processes, and procedures to independently resolve issues.
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of users, both written and verbal.
Demonstrates poise in intense or stressful situations and maintains professionalism.
Availability to participate in on-call and/or after-hours work as needed.
