Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Credentialing Specialist.

As a Credentialing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that healthcare providers meet the necessary qualifications and standards to participate in managed care networks.


Duties:


  • Conduct primary source verification of provider credentials, including education, training, licensure, and certifications
  • Maintain uptodate provider files and databases
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations to gather necessary information for credentialing purposes
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
  • Assist with audits and quality improvement initiatives related to credentialing processes

Experience:


  • Must have Bachelors' degree
  • Previous experience in credentialing or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of managed care and medical office operations
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and industry standards
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with database management systems
