Responsibilities
Provides oversight of the activities on a 30 bed Medical Telemetry Unit during a specified shift including, including serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources and providing oversight for the provisions of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to mentoring staff in areas such as competency and documentation and coaching and evaluation of care given by staff.
Bedside Nursing (50%)
Provide exceptional patient care, ensuring the highest standards of nursing practice.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Act as a resource for bedside nurses, offering support and guidance in clinical matters.
Charge Nurse Duties (50%)
Assume a leadership role in overseeing and coordinating daily unit operations.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Facilitate staff assignments, ensuring appropriate skill mix and workload distribution.
Provide mentorship and guidance to bedside nurses, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
