- Daily machine checks
- General mechanical maintenance including: Plumbing Machine Tool Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Welding Equipment Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
- Completion of three semesters of Vocational Training along with instructor recommendation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Candidate must be at least 18 years of age by start date
- Work independently based on instructions, directions, or requests received from Supervisor and/or project lead
- Work as part of a collaborative team to balance workloads and ensure quality and accurate deliverables are produced on time

Maintenance Co-Op (High School) - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Mount Vernon, Indiana
BWXT is seeking qualified and motivated high school students to join our highly-skilled team of maintenance technicians for a Co-Op opportunity at our Mt. Vernon, IN facility. Co-Ops hired for this position will perform tasks in their field of study while developing maintenance skills in a manufacturing environment. Be a part of something big and help support the defense industry while gaining valuable knowledge and honing your skills.
