After-School Martial Arts Instructor (Grades 2-4)

About Us:
Our after-school martial arts program is designed to instill discipline, boost confidence, and improve physical health in young learners.
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Martial Arts Instructor to join our team and lead our after-school program for students in grades 2-4.
As an After-School Martial Arts Instructor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds and bodies of our young students.
You will use your expertise to teach techniques, discipline, and the philosophy behind martial arts, all while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and instruct martial arts classes specifically designed for students in grades 24, ensuring each session is ageappropriate, safe, and fun.
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate a variety of martial arts techniques and concepts, with a focus on discipline, selfdefense, physical fitness, and respect for others.
- Monitor students' progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners.
- Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging students to support one another and celebrate their achievements.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and offering suggestions for how to support their martial arts journey at home.
- Ensure all equipment and training spaces are maintained and safely set up before and after classes.
- Stay current with best practices in martial arts instruction and child development to continuously improve the program.
Qualifications:
- Black Belt in one or more martial arts disciplines (please specify).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage young students and build rapport with parents.
- A strong commitment to child safety, learning, and development.
- CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain upon hiring.
- Background check required upon hiring.

$ $50.00 per hour
