- Assist in the preparation of internal financial reporting packages, including the monthly flash financial statements and management package.
- Assist in the preparation and review of quarterly and annual earnings releases, periodic SEC filings and regulatory disclosure.
- Assist with audit requests to ensure a clean and timely year-end audit and quarterly reviews.
- Review supporting documentation to substantiate information included in each quarterly disclosure document.
- Act as liaison between SEC Reporting and investor relations, legal counsel, business segments, internal audit and external auditors
- Complete disclosure checklists to ensure disclosure compliance.
- Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results or other ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Maintain and strengthen reporting procedures to comply with internal control requirements.
- Provide technical support on disclosure issues to ensure the appropriate application of the SEC, GAAP and federal rules.
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Work with direct report to establish performance goals and objectives for each year and monitor and advise on the progress to enhance professional development.
- Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting required.
- CPA or CPA Candidate Preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive responsibility in accounting and financial reporting
- 3+ years' experience working for a renowned public accounting firm preferred.
- Experience auditing and/or working for publicly traded entities.
- Experience in the airline industry and/or lot inventory accounting concepts preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office applications, such as Word and Excel
- Adequate technical accounting experience
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and deliver accurate work product during busy periods.
- Ability to consider business and financial implications of projects and transactions.
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.
- Understands the team concept and has a strong desire to be a contributing teammate.
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting at desk.
- Must be able to lift 10lbs.

What we Offer:
The Financial Reporting Senior will assist with the Company's reporting functions, both internal and external. This position will be responsible for the preparation of the Company's monthly internal management financial reporting packages, as well as support the timely filing of periodic reports with the SEC. Our ideal candidate is proactive and will contribute to maintaining and improving the financial reporting process.
