Grants Analyst Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Senior Grants Coordinator, this position is primarily focused on monthly and quarterly vouchering for new and existing contracts according to the specific guidelines and requirements of executed contracts and agreements.
Grants Analyst Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists the Finance department in creating timely and accurate financial statements.
Performs accounting functions for program and agency processes and compiles financial data.
Understanding of different revenue streams across the agency and ensuring that revenue is properly recorded.
Creates finance-related reports as needed/requested by executives utilizing appropriate report writer.
Assists with preparations for the Annual Audit.
Analyzing actual expenses and revenue according to the contract budget, as well as forecasting expenses/revenue throughout the contract period.
Provide updates to the Sr. Grants Coordinator, as well as Vice President's on how the contracts are performing and making recommendations.
Be able to communicate professionally with Federal, State and Local government units, as well as Leadership on how contracts are performing, along with providing any documentation that funders may request.
Assists with budgets for new and existing contracts and budget modifications for existing contracts.Assists with various internal/external audits.
Reviews all documents and work prepared for accuracy, adheres to generally accepted accounting procedures and compliance with procedures described in the accounting manual, as well as the executed contract.
Performs follow-up and collection procedures on outstanding accounts receivables related to contracts.Performs other tasks or special projects given by the Sr. Grants Coordinator, as well as attending and participating in staff meetings and training sessions.
Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate to streamline any processes to make them more efficient, as well as work independently to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
Carries out agency policies and procedures while participating in daily routine of the agency.Maintains effective professional relationships with other service providers and community organizations in the interest of clients and program goals.
Attends and participates in individual supervisory conferences, staff meetings, training sessions, special projects and professional development opportunities as required.
Demonstrates the values of diversity, equity and belonging; foster an inclusive environment that facilitates diversity.
Handles emergency situations that may require flexibility of time and area of assignment.
Performs other duties, responsibilities and related tasks as assigned.
Grants Analyst Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of vouchering for a not-for-profit experience preferred. BS in accounting and/or AS Degree with 3 to 5 years accounting-related experience will be considered.
Must be proficient in Excel and be willing and able to learn various computer applications.
Must be detail oriented, flexible and be able to prioritize workload.
Valid NYS Driver's License Required.

Pay:
$45,000 to $55,000 / year
