Position Purpose:

Barrett-Jackson Auction Company is looking for a customer-focused Network Engineer to join their team. As the Network Engineer, you will be in charge of designing, implementing, and managing a secure and reliable network infrastructure to support multiple office locations and annual auctions across the US.

The ideal candidate should have a good grasp of Palo Alto and Aruba devices, Microsoft Office, network security, and monitoring software. The Network Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that the network infrastructure is strong, secure, and efficient to meet the demands of dynamic auction events.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN networks across different office locations and auction sites to ensure top performance and security.
Implement and oversee network security solutions like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs to protect company data and network infrastructure.
Monitor network performance and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with IT teams to incorporate new software and hardware into the network.
Keep detailed documentation of network design, configurations, and procedures for efficient troubleshooting and future growth.
Offer technical support and training to staff when needed to help them use company resources securely.
Coordinate and manage on-site network setup and support during annual auctions.
Stay updated on the latest network technology advancements and industry best practices, suggesting improvements and upgrades when necessary.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience in network engineering with a focus on LAN and WAN technologies.
Certification in network security and monitoring such as CCNA Security, CompTIA Network+, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, etc.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work well under pressure.
Great written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
Willingness to travel for annual auction events.
Team player with a proactive approach and dedication to continuous learning.
