School of Rock - General Manager Position

School of Rock is a well-known interactive music school founded in 1998, with a vast international presence offering top-notch after-school music education. Our aim is to empower kids both on and off stage through the power of music.

Exciting news! School of Rock is expanding to Ankeny, Iowa, with a new location set to open its doors in August 2023. We are on the lookout for a dedicated General Manager to spearhead this venture. If you're passionate about music and education, this might be the perfect role for you.

In this role, you'll be the mastermind behind creating a fantastic environment for students to unleash their musical talents. From setting up electrifying performances to fostering a supportive community, you'll play a key role in shaping the School of Rock experience.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide an exceptional music education experience for students, ensuring high engagement and enrollment.
Deliver top-notch customer service, handling billing, schedules, and communication efficiently.
Supervise the Music Director and guide them in delivering an outstanding music education program.
Oversee show productions to give students inspiring performance opportunities.
Meet educational and business KPIs to drive success.
Lead marketing and sales efforts to boost school visibility and student enrollment.
Ensure a safe and conducive environment for students by managing staff and facilities effectively.
Handle financial aspects like budgeting, cost management, and result analysis.
Report directly to the school's Owner.

Skill Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in Marketing, Sales, or Customer Service.
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Proven track record in staff recruitment and management.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to collaborate across diverse groups.
Strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and integrity.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Experience working with children and a passion for the arts.
Interest in music is a plus, but musical background is not mandatory.
