Medical Transcriptionist:


  • The Duchess Elisabeth Hospital Foundation in Braunschweig provides care for approximately 40,000 inpatients and outpatients with around 860 employees in the departments of orthopedics, surgery, vascular surgery, internal medicine, geriatrics, anesthesia, and intensive care medicine, with a total of 205 beds. Attached is a medical center with an outpatient surgery center and a vocational nursing school with 75 training positions. We are currently seeking a

Medical Transcriptionist
part-time, 25-35 hours/week, fixed-term for two years

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:


  • Transcribing discharge letters from the orthopedic, medical, and surgical clinics, as well as rheumatology and vascular surgery, from digital dictation
  • Transcribing operation reports, findings, progress documentation, outpatient letters, medical opinions, and certificates

Your Profile:


  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology in the fields of orthopedics, surgery, internal medicine, vascular surgery, and rheumatology
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • High typing speed
  • Strong grasp of German spelling and grammar
