About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Destruction Technician to join our team. In this critical role, you will ensure the secure and complete destruction of electronic media containing sensitive data. You will play a key part in our commitment to data security and client confidentiality.


Responsibilities:

• Securely destroy data storage media like hard drives, SSDs, phones, and magnetic tapes using industrial shredders and degaussing equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all destroyed media using our asset inventory system.
• Participate in onsite data destruction jobs as required, following strict security protocols for client data handling.
• Perform physical lifting and maneuvering of carts containing electronic media for processing and destruction.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies for data destruction procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with data destruction procedures a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay:
$ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
