- US Citizenship and able to obtain Secret Government Security clearance
- 6+ years of distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment, preferably on cloud-based platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure, OCI, etc.
- Strong development experience in Java writing highly concurrent, maintainable code
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and maintaining large-scale infrastructure
- Experience with unit/integration testing and TDD (test-driven development)
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, and operating public cloud service control planes
- Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
- Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies
- Demonstrable technical leadership and mentorship skills
- Experience working with internal customers and converting request into actionable development
- Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, including authoring design document, technical specifications, and product/service reviews
- Bachelor's degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering fieldPreferred Qualifications
- Masters degreein Computer Science, Information Technology, or related engineering field
- Previous experience working with large-scale, cloud-based telemetry solutions
- Experience developing and delivering software solutions in US government agencies and/or classified cloud
- Knowledge of Linux internals, Linux/Unix troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of software engineering best practices across the development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Experience driving security reviews, documentation, UX reviews, and working with Product Managers from inception through launch
