Description

As a Mail Handler for our Vintage VHS Conversion Service, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of precious VHS tapes sent in by customers for digitization.

You will be responsible for receiving, logging, and securely storing incoming VHS tapes, as well as preparing outgoing shipments of digitized content back to customers.

Your attention to detail and commitment to preserving our customers' cherished memories will be essential in delivering a high-quality service experience.

Responsibilities:

Receive incoming packages containing VHS tapes from customers. Log each package into our tracking system, recording relevant information such as customer details, package contents, and special instructions.
Inspect incoming VHS tapes for any signs of damage or deterioration. Document any issues observed and communicate with customers as needed to clarify instructions or address concerns.
Safely store incoming VHS tapes in designated storage areas, ensuring protection from environmental factors such as dust, humidity, and temperature fluctuations. Maintain an organized inventory system for easy retrieval.
Prepare VHS tapes for the digitization process by cleaning and inspecting them for optimal playback quality. Label each tape with a unique identifier to track its progress throughout the conversion process.
Coordinate outgoing shipments of digitized content back to customers. Package digitized files securely, ensuring protection against damage during transit. Generate shipping labels and schedule pickups with courier services.
Maintain regular communication with customers regarding the status of their VHS tape conversions. Provide updates on receipt, processing, and shipment of their orders, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Enter relevant data into our digital database, including customer information, order details, and tracking numbers. Keep accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments for internal tracking and reporting purposes.
Conduct quality checks on digitized content before shipping it to customers, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Address any issues or discrepancies identified during the quality assurance process, seeking assistance from supervisors or technicians as needed.
Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding data security, confidentiality, and compliance with copyright regulations. Handle sensitive customer information with the utmost care and discretion.
