Requirements:
Must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.)ORmust have passed the F.E. (fundamentals of engineering) exam. Must have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering. Minimum 8 years professional facilities design and construction engineering and management. Experience with design-bid-build and design-build project delivery mechanisms. Experience translating customer requirements to design options with accurate cost justification. Mechanical engineers must demonstrate experience in building plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection systems. Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.

Ability to review and revise existing standards of engineering techniques, procedures, and practices in building design and building information modeling.

Ability to coordinate work efforts across other engineering, architecture, and construction disciplines to arrive at best technical and value-based solutions.

Must be able to work a 9/80 schedule to support NASA FEMO EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
