Douglas Parking is looking to hire a Full Time Valet Parking Attendant for a location in Los Angeles, CA.


The attendant will act as valet, parking attendant, and ambassador for the facility which supports a private terminal at LAX.


Qualified applicants must have a valid CA driver's license and have been an experienced driver for at least 5 years.

Must have the ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle (stick shift).

Below is a brief description of duties and responsibilities:
Valet Attendants will be responsible for assisting all guests entering and exiting the location.
Opening doors and greeting patrons. Ability to efficiently park a vehicle in in designated spaces.
Ability to quickly retrieve vehicles.

Attendants will also be required to perform essential maintenance and repair functions throughout the facility, such as parking equipment preventative maintenance, general cleaning, and completion of daily environmental safety checklists.


  • Skilled at operating motor vehicles with manual transmissions (stick shift and clutch).
  • Skilled at moving and parking vehicles in confined spaces.
  • Communicating with others to convey information effectively
  • Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do.

Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Ability to stand for periods of 4 hours or more.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and track incoming and outgoing client lists
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with clients
  • Meet personal/customer service team targets
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure the resolution
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies

Skills

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Track record of overachieving
  • Familiarity with technology (computer literate and radio etiquette)
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • High school degree
