If you possess the skills to inspire and lead with a servant-heart and you are an excellent cook, who can rally teams of staff and volunteers to provide dignity and respect to those experiencing homelessness through a meal, then the San Diego Rescue Mission invites you to join our team as a Cook.
As a Cook, you will be an integral part of our Kitchen Team, playing a pivotal role in caring for our students and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include leading a team of staff and volunteers, planning, preparing and cooking meals, opening and closing the kitchen and ensuring compliance with food handling standards.

Drug Screen Disclaimer
SDRM is a Nonprofit Religious Organization and as such, we require all employees to submit to our drug screen as a condition of employment once they have accepted a position with SDRM. Because of our religious affiliation, we do not allow employees to use or consume recreational or medicinal marijuana, along with all other federally recognized substances. You will be notified prior to any employment decisions if your drug screen is returned with negative findings.
