Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDISH Wireless is seeking a Principal Engineer of Network Security to guide the operations of network security devices and controls across the nationwide environment supporting the buildout of our new 5G wireless infrastructure.
The successful candidate will manage a team accountable for network security engineering and implementation at large-scale.Network security designs will include security controls for multi-VRF layer 2/3 network design, security of GPS timing, secure network routing, zero-touch provisioning of devices, capacity engineering, secure connectivity to Internet and third parties.
This role is a key, strategic part of our business, and presents an opportunity to implement and optimize the latest networking solutions.
Key responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a multi-year strategic infrastructure plan to include a long-term vision, technology roadmaps, goals and objectivesCreate and maintain security engineering designsSupport validation, deployment, optimization and operations of security solutions both physical devices and virtual devicesGuide the testing and validation of new IP security services, feature enhancements and bug fixesProvide advanced technical leadership for complex project work, including functional subsystem upgrades for mission-critical network devices and services as well as strategic upgrades to the network#LI-LD1Skills, Experience and RequirementsIdeal Principal Engineer Network Security candidates have:Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering preferred, or ten or more years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier spaceProfessional security certifications a plus - CISSP, AWS-Certified Security, CISMProfessional networking certifications a plus – CCNA/CCNP/CCIE/JNCIE or equivalentPublic cloud certifications a plus – advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalentSuccessful Senior Manager of Network Security candidates have extensive knowledge in:Architecture, design, and engineering of network security boundaries both internal and externalNetwork firewall and IDS/IPS systems evaluation, design, implementation and supportDesign and implementation of internal and external VPN connectivityBe familiar with building, operating and optimizing carrier class solutionsIntegration with public cloud providersIP routing across a multi-site, hierarchical architectureConfiguration hardening of network and peripheral devicesCreation of network security policies, processes, auditing and enforcementHands-on experience with information security in large enterprise/carrier environmentsProficient at designing and implementing PKI architecture at scaleSolid understanding of certificate management principlesKnowledge of PCI DSS, SOX, FIPS 140-2, NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27000
Salary Range Compensation:
